I am a beef stud farmer's wife on 500 acres - and just my husband and I run the farm with our son coming to help whenever he is able to do so. We have a herd of over 200 Bonsmara cattle.
I have been a wife to my forever man for over 57years now, we have four married children - one son, a daughter-in-law, three daughters and three son-in-law's and eleven of the very best grandchildren, aged from 14 to 31.
I am now the ripe old age of seventy-seven and our children and grandchildren are constantly badgering me to write my life story, as I certainly have had fun and crazy experiences.
We were born and lived in South Africa until 1999 when we emigrated to Australia, one of our children and her family were already here. Then we were followed by two more of our children and their families.
I write a blog daily and have done so since August 2008. In fact, I published a book of my 2009 blogs - just for fun! It is called "Life on the Land", but I did a lousy job on marketing it - all my fault!
I love reading and am especially fascinated by the whodunnits and court cases - both fictional and true life.
I think my main influence to writing is life - just my every day experiences.
My project it to jot down the funny, the sad, the dramatic, the exciting, the scary, and the hysterical moments that have made up my life so far.
