I am just beginning with watercolor. I have always loved the fluid colors and am drawn to this form of art. I have never attempted anything in art before and have never drawn anything. My sister seemed to have all the talent when we were growing up and she is still very talented in oils, multi-media, intarsia, and stained glass. I am 71 years old and have a bad back. When I sit and paint I forget about the pain and get lost in the flow of color. I tend to paint more realistic animals and plants, but love the free flow of watercolor and want to learn to paint looser, letting the water flow. I also love landscapes/ I love the work of Thomas W Schaller, Geoff Kersey, Rick Surowicz, and Paul Clark to name a few. I also love the freeness of Sterling Edwards big brush paintings. We moved from the Midwest to Florida and I love the ocean and sea creatures!
