Juan R. Lage

JUANRLAG - 2D ANIMATION
Juan R. Lage is an audiovisual artist. He is currently working as an independent 2D animator. He
lives in the city of La Plata, Argentina, where he studied Audiovisual Arts (Facultad de Artes,
UNLP).
Since 2017 he produces 2D animation in a traditional and digital way. He also composes the
sound design of many of his productions.He has done work for Spotify, SOKO, DIS-Lab, Bizarrap,
SUMOCLIC, MIMOID Inc, GIPHY, BLINKINK.
He has also participated in advertising projects, music videos and animated visuals for live music.

THYSSEN-BORNEMITZA MUSEUM
Jury member for the #VersionaThyssen contest.
Creation of an animation based on a tribute to a painting belonging to the museum. The animation
with sound was presented together with the original painting (The Ballerina by Degas) on the day
of the award ceremony of the contest in the same museum.
SEGAJI VIDEO - RED VELVET
Character design for videoclip scenography, character design for 3D animation.
TEENAGE PRIEST
Integral realization of an animated loop -visualizer- for Let it pass, song of the band Teenage
Priest.
DIS-LAB
Identity video commissioned for the artistic sector of a company dedicated to video games.

EL RUSO MUERE
Direction and script of a fiction feature film made in 2016.
PLUMIFEROS
Co-direction of a videopoem made in 2017, which received several awards and is part of the
collection of audiovisual works of the Kirchner Cultural Center in Buenos Aires.
LA IMPACIENCIA
Audiovisual installation for the art center of UNLP (Universidad Nacional de la Plata).
VJ - VISUALS
Animated visuals made with collage technique for the presentation of the album Intemperie by the
band Puebla.
Animated visuals flame by frame for the band Bruto.
FILM AND EDITING CLASSES
Taught classes at the UNLP and privately for five years. Focused mainly on editing and its relation
with sound.
