Hi, I'm Jo. I live in Britain but have lived in France and Switzerland also. My background and comfort zone has always been words (journalism, translation, copywriting) but I have been drawn to sewing and textiles on and off over my life but have never given myself the time to explore the medium properly. Landscapes and nature in close detail are my main inspirations when it comes to visual art, so I would like to focus on these as I learn embroidery, too. I am also drawn to repeating patterns and geometry. I tend to buy clothes in houndstooth and geometric patterns. So, I am also keen to learn sashiko embroidery at some point too.
