I started watercolor painting many years ago as a sort of mental therapy. I have continued to paint off and on over the years, often working from photos from vacations and travel. I originally focused on landscapes but have become more interested in producing cityscapes, but have struggled with the process.

I was glad to see John Singer Sargent as a influence as my favorite art book is a collection of his Venice watercolors. I'm also fan of the impressionists.
