I started painting for the first time about 6 years ago and with watercolour just last year. I love it! I've experimented with landscapes, abstracts, and representational art, mostly with acrylics. I want to learn more about watercolour, however. I'd like to paint (in watercolour) a photo of my husband and me dancing on our wedding day (I tried to add as a cover image, but that didn't work, LOL). And I'd like to do portraits of my three granddaughters. Finally, I've started a larger painting--a still life--with an underlay of acrylics. The rest of this particular painting is completed with oils (I found a plan in an art magazine), but I have no idea how to paint with oils. I have a BA, MA, and PhD in anthropology. I retired in 2013 to start my own research, writing, and editing business (nonfiction). I have two adult children and three grandchildrem.
