ENRICA BENEDETTA VADALA'

I grew up in Reggio Calabria, my home town and at the age of eighteen I moved to Milan to study Fashion Design at the prestigious ”Istituto Marangoni” graduating in 2006. Since then, I have worked in Milan and London for both style and product offices in companies making apparel for women and children. A dress that I made by hand in metallic mesh for the designer Emilio de la Morena was published in American Elle in the 2009 March issue.
ENRICA BV is my own label for my first women’s wear collection which came out in 2017. These are clothes for occasions, from cocktail dresses, to party dresses and evenings. The garments are fresh, sunny and trendy. This means having a dress with a unique style and that you cannot find in any store. They are Made in Italy garments, made both by hand, in unique pieces, according to the sartorial tradition, and produced in sizes but always in limited pieces. The proposed clothes convey the brightness of Southern Italy with bright colors, fresh prints, light fabrics and innovative textures. The style is feminine and sophisticated. Each dress is named with a female name, because it is a brand created by a woman for women. The garments are designed for socialites, dynamic women, with an innovative spirit, sunny and full of commitments.
My first collection was a success, infact a red dress of mine was published on Vogue.it because of the collaboration with Stefania Sammarro photographer.
In 2018 my label is officially registered and then I was called from the popular fashion journalist Mariella Milani, a well know face form the TG2 Italian tv, to be part of Crafters 2.0. This project mission is to support the Made in Italy and to associate all the Italian crafters. My clothes started to be in some exclusive boutiques as “ Spazio 70” in my own town and “Paillettes Fever” concept store in Milan. They are also sold in popular e-commerce like Etsy and Amazon Handmade.
In November 2018, I was chosen to be part of Not Just A Label, the world’s leading designer platform for showcasing and nurturing today’s pioneers in contemporary fashion.
In 2019 Vogue Uk is publishing some clothes from “The Tourist” collection in the April, May and June issues.
During the 2020, due to the Covid-19, I stopped working for a while thinking about how to change my business, so then I starting again creating a new collection and my personal e-commerce. It will be online in Spring 2021.
