My name is Aleph I’m an independent artist living in Anchorage Alaska
Recently I’ve been influenced by many modern great artists across different mediums and they are innumerable as they are all interesting and valuable in my personal artistic research. Although initially I was introduced to photography at a young age with a memory of an image magically appearing on a paper submerged in water under a red light then clipped on a line to dry. Later on I discovered King Tutankhamen’s tomb and the rest of the world through National Geographic magazines and this sparked my wonder for travel and photography. I was truly inspired by Ansel Adams’ B&W landscapes as it showed me a new perspective leading to a cultivation of varying perspectives that helps me a lot in my development as an artist and as a human being. I decided to travel as it pulled my creative energy in a more dynamic way. Travel exposed me to worlds unknown to my imaginations and it engulfed me in awe. The awe and wonder, the feeling of self discovery, seeing something new, learning something different gives me the most joy. I enjoy the balance of working with others and working on my own. Having self knowledge really does help when working with multitude dynamics of personalities because it allows me to be malleable enough to accept each individual’s perspective without sacrificing self worth. In the future when money is no longer an issue I’m going to build an ecological and sustainable community and eventually creating an environment suitable for harmonious being.
