About the final project for: Figure Drawing for Beginners

Anatomical drawing for beginners

“Dear students, we have reached the end of the course, we started drawing lines and we ended up going crazy creating poses that we had not imagined drawing before. From simple lines that with each practice have become straighter until they can be divided into halves and thirds, drawing circles with and without help and then using them to learn the proportions of the head, torso, pelvic box and how to connect these by middle of the column. Then drawing the limbs provided, learning the dreaded ones (but not impossible) proportions of the hands and feet, to finally start playing with this knowledge and create our own poses from different points of view and grow our body catalog that we can draw without a model. The most important thing is that each of the poses will generate new doubts that with practice we will solve, challenging ourselves to draw any pose from the imagination, you can do it on paper, in layers of paper or digital. You can make cuts in colored papers with the proportions, the idea is that you draw the body as many times as necessary and those poses will help you tell stories, make animations, collages, patterns, sculptures, etc. I will be uploading my own drawings and explorations to enlarge my catalog and I hope to see your projects and answer your questions as we create more and more poses. Do not forget to be pending and comment on the process of your colleagues because they may find in those processes answers they were looking for. ”

And we did exercises to divide them in halves and thirds. Remember how important these simple steps are for the rest of the course. Then we put this in practice. We drew circles and divided them in halves and thirds to focus on drawing the upper part of the human body. We started with the eight-head division and...”
