“We have reached the end of the course! Thank you for having gone through this process with me. Creating images is a very unique process in each person and, for me, the charm of dedicating myself to making portraits, is that you always know stories that resonate with yours, and you can observe yourself through the 'other'. All technical tools go hand in hand with a process of exploring and finding your perspective and the way you want to represent it. When you start in photography, many times you tend to want to create images very similar to that of the photographers you most admire, and it is normal, but in the end, only the practice will make you have a solid, sincere and with your own style work . Veronica Cerna

Verónica Cerna is a Peruvian-born photographer. She studied Audiovisual Communication at the University of Lima, she has a postgraduate degree in Photography from The International Center of Photography in New York, and specialization courses in portraits and experimental video in Buenos Aires.
In 2013, she co-founded BAF, a photographic and audiovisual studio dedicated to the creation of conceptual projects.
Her work has been recognized at the International Photography Awards, The Photo Phore, and published in magazines such as Musée Magazine, Shots Magazine, Better Photography, and Pecado Magazine.
She currently resides and works between Lima and New York.
