Illustration: From Idea to Concept

After 7 years of experience as an Art Director in advertising agencies, life gave Mike Sandoval the opportunity to make the leap and devote himself to what he always wanted to be: a freelance professional illustrator.

His passion for telling stories in illustrations united him with his second passion: music, making posters for independent bands such as Cardiel, LNG/SHT and Los Viejos to international projects such as Café Tacvba, Zoé, The Prodigy, Queens of the Stone Age, Belle and Sebastian, Kendrick Lamar, Interpol, Incubus, and Foo Fighters, among others.

His client portfolio includes brands such as Wacom, Vans, Nike, Reebok, Indian Beer, White Beer, Victoria Beer, Microsoft, EA, Omega, Casio, and Kipling, among others, performing interventions on walls and in graphics for ads. In addition, he is the founder and organizer of Drink & Draw DF (Mexico).
