“WARM COLOURS In this lesson we'll use the grisaille we did in green and add warm colours to it. If we look at the colour wheel we studied earlier, we'll need to add its complementary colours. The complementary colour of green is magenta. So let's use the magenta. We'll use a brush with high holding capacity. Why high capacity? Because that way we can make a much bigger wash. Just as we did with the first layer of greens, we'll add a very broad and generic layer of magenta that blends with the green. Alejandro Casanova was born in Valencia, Spain in 1981. He studied fine arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and then moved to Tenerife, where he completed his doctorate. In addition, he has obtained several national and European research grants and scholarships.

He paints in oil and watercolor, techniques that allow him to work quickly and develop figurative paintings through transparency and chromatic richness. His work has led him to exhibit in different cities across Spain and other European countries, as well as carry out his teaching work through workshops in Spain.
