“In this lesson, we'll refine our sketch. I'm using an iPad. You don't have to. Draw digitally. You can work analog if you want. I also have my photo reference here in case I need it. So in the last lesson we were doing a bunch of gestures, brainstorms, thumbnails, quick sketches, The sketch that I chose referred to Elton John as this strong character where he was placed on the page in a symmetrical way. And there was kind of an explosion of color referring to rainbow, the LGBT community, and feathers. And so this was the drawing that will inspire my final illustration. So what I'll do next ...”
