On trousers, traditionally you would have five belt loops. two that run through the centre front of each leg. two at the side seam, and one that runs on the centre back. I want to show you a belt loop that sort of straddles and is longer than the actual waistband. so that we have a little tab at the bottom here, which folds underneath and is sewn into the space between the waistband and the trousers.
