“ Building Textures and Coloring the Background Now I'll move on to painting the water. I'll use the Oil Paint brush along with a few other textured brushes to build up the depth. I'll be varying the shades of blue in the tones whilst also considering where the light will hit the water. I might want to add some tints of gold on some lighter areas over here. Thinking about the references that I looked at earlier of ocean waves hitting rocks, I'm considering that the areas where the waves will hit the rocks will be lighter, foamier, and possibly more textured, so I'm using a textured brush, t...”
