Sketching Techniques Specialization

About the final project for: Sketching Techniques Specialization

30 Days of Daily Sketching for Creative Inspiration

“ Thank you for completing this specialization. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed preparing it. The following exercises are intended to balance some technical exercises with others that are more free and open to interpretation. Remember, there is no wrong way to approach these exercises; you don't have to stick to one page daily. Also, this is only a guide. Feel free to create your 30-day list.

Once you finish your 30 drawings, publish your project on Domestika within your profile. Record a video of your sketchbook or photograph the pages. Comment with a text about the experience and the challenges you have faced. This is the proposal for each day: 1. Free drawing 2. Sketch/paint using a medium you are not familiar with. 3. Draw your environment. 4. Draw something you ate today or WISH you had eaten today. 5. Create an 'ugly drawing.' 6. Fill in a page of abstract shapes with watercolor or colored marker. Go over these shapes with ink and fill in the information. 7. Personify an object (e.g., a microwave oven turned into a character). 8. Study some textures from direct observation. 9. Fill a page with boxes or shapes in a 2-point perspective. Try to apply yesterday's textures to the boxes. 10. Sketch your interpretation of one of your favorite memories. 11. Draw a comic about your day. 12. Draw some plants/trees from life or your imagination. 13. Set a timer for 5 minutes and do a blind contour drawing. 14. Draw something from direct observation and then incorporate some imaginary elements. 15. Sketch a solution to a problem (e.g., a robot that can do your tax return). 16. Draw a self-portrait. 17. Draw your favourite animal 18. Draw the bone structure of your favorite animal. 19. Make up a creature by combining two different animals. 20. Scribble some lines around your page using a pencil. With ink, create a drawing within those parameters. 21. Draw what you would wear today in an alternative dimension. 22. Draw something for someone you love. 23. Illustrate a feeling using only abstract shapes. 24. Draw a vehicle of life or imagination. 25. Dismantle some objects from your environment to make a quick still life. 26. Set a timer for 30 minutes. Fill the page with as much information as possible about your day. 27. Draw your hands in a couple of different poses. 28. Draw an artificial object from observation or imagination. 29. Draw something that scares you. 30. Draw something related to music. CONGRATULATIONS, YOU'VE DONE IT! If you publish your project on your social networks, remember to mention us. Thank you very much.”
