Clay Projects with Kids
“Hello, amazing creators! I want to thank you for joining me on this journey of creating with clay. It has been so much fun sharing my passion with you and guiding you through each project. I hope you have had as much fun as I have. As you move forward with your clay creations, I have a few final tips to remember: 1 - Patience is key: Whether you are working with homemade, air-drying or polymeric clay, take your time. Crafting is about enjoying both the process and the final product. 2 - Experiment and explore: Don't be afraid to try new techniques and make mistakes. Each time you try a new technique, you will be one step closer to gaining confidence and skill with clay. 3 - Keep it clean: Remember that working with clay can be a little messy. Always keep a damp cloth and paper towels handy so you don't make a mess. 4 - And finally, store it well: When you're done using the clay, store it well so it doesn't dry out. Use airtight containers or zippered plastic bags for homemade and air-drying clay, and put the polymer clay back in its original wrapping or plastic wrap. Most importantly, I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. Try a different project than the ones we've made together. For example, a clay pencil holder, a little animal or even a personalized piece of jewelry. There are so many different things you can make with clay. Also, don't forget about our fantastic Domestika community. Visit the forum, share your creations, comment on others' work and get inspired. Crafts are always more fun when we do them together and learn from each other. I take this opportunity to remind you of the steps that would be great to put when you post your project:
