“We are now at one of my favorite parts of the entire upcycling process. Let's start taking this garment apart. We use our scissors sparingly at this step. I know it might be tempting to just cut the seam instead of taking it apart with the seam ripper, Resist temptation. We need every precious inch of fabric. Before I remove anything from a garment, I make sure to document it thoroughly in its original state. I usually take videos, but pictures work too.
