When I first started to learn digital illustration, my dad gave me the book by Sean Tan called The Arrival, It was my first introduction to Sean Tan's work and it instantly blew me away. I fell in love with the illustrations and I just felt the inspiration to create straight away. Sean Tan uses lots of monochromatic color schemes You can really appreciate the level of detail and the atmosphere that he creates using such a limited color palette.
