“In this lesson I'm going to talk about my influences. The first one is Archaos Circus. They were a French circus who were around from 1986 to 1990, so quite a short period of time. And I first came across them when they came to the Edinburgh Festival. They were really crazy, really punk and really fun. They were born a French anarchic circus troupe that were horse drawn called Cirque Bidon. When Cirque Bidon folded, one of the circuses that came out of that was Circus Archaos. They wanted to have a communal management structure, but that meant they were quite chaotic and it gave the circus ...”
