“One of my favorite things about working as a surface designer is that you get to illustrate whatever you want. But sometimes that can be really daunting if you're feeling uninspired or overwhelmed with ideas or you just don't know where to get started. A really helpful strategy that has worked for me is to sit down and create a visual mind map. I like to do this in my sketchbook or my iPad. In this case I'm going to use my iPad.
