“Knitting Techniques So now I'm going to show you one more decrease that we use in the socks. This is called SSK, it's slip slip knit two stitches together. We use this in the heel and the toe section. So for this practice piece, I'm going to knit three stitches and then do the slip slip k, and then three stitches and again do the slip slip k. The SSK stitch is different than a two together stitch because the stitch will lean to the left.
