“Now that we've created our thumbnail sketches, in this lesson, I'm gonna prep my drawing surface. So to start, I'm gonna lay my paper down on my cutting mat like so, and I wanna line it up with the origin of the cutting mat to use a math term, just like this, so that the corner of my paper is matched up with the corner where the zero is on the mat. Now, what I wanna do is, just in case I mess up, I'm gonna start with the 8-inch side right here, and then the 12-inch rip will be right here.
