“In this lesson, I will demonstrate how I bring the portrait to a finish by refining the forms of the face and unifying the planes as they relate to the whole. What I like to do is pick an area that I want to bring too close to a finish. Instead of addressing the entire head all at once like we've been doing this whole time, it just helps me to create a standard in just one small area that I want the rest of the portrait to try to meet. And in this case, it's gonna be near this eye and the forehead area. I'm gonna start by darkening a few of the areas in the eye that are still looking flat. ...”
