There's the fact that we sit a lot. We sit a lot on chairs and it is actually, apart from the bed, the furniture piece which is closest to us. So most of us kind of like develop a very close relation to a chair. Many people do have a favorite chair because it's particularly comfortable or has a nice aesthetic or it's something about.
