Productivity Methods: Self Organization for Creatives
“Congratulations on making it to the end of this course! Wow, that was quite a ride! Thank you for sticking with me till the end and working through the methods I shared with you throughout the course. I hope I managed to cause a few "aha" moments for you and helped you clarify some thoughts flying around in your mind and turn them into actionable items. Implementing the outlined system can be daunting, but I encourage you to review it at least once to experience what such a structured system can achieve. For your course project, I want you to take all the concepts and techniques you've learned in this course and create your own personal productivity system that you can use weekly and daily. If you haven't done so already, go through the steps I outlined, starting with the "Brain Download" by writing down everything on your mind, especially what you think you need to do in all areas of your life. After you have done so, clarify the items in your brain, download them as I described and sort them into thematic task buckets. Right after that, set up your task board, customize it to your needs, fill it with tasks for the coming week and then schedule time blocks in your calendar for those tasks. Once you set everything up, post screenshots or pictures of (one or more) your thematic task buckets, your task board and your calendar with scheduled tasks and time blocks in the forum. If you value your privacy, hide the contents of your tasks and calendar items. Even though it's not required to complete the project, I encourage you to include your reflections on the methods and process and questions you might have about your personal productivity system. See you soon!”
