“Coloring with gouache In this lesson, we'll color our sketches. We'll work with gouache. First, I'll talk about some general characteristics of gouache to keep in mind. They're like watercolors, but opaque. They give more cover. That's why they don't work in the same way as watercolor, which is translucent, but as I mentioned in materials, watercolor paper works very well. I like to use the Canson Edition etching paper I mentioned because it's made of cotton, it absorbs well, and it has a very, very fine grain.
