“ Influences In this lesson, I'll share some of my influences from over the years. The animator who inspired me to experiment with stop-motion is Jan Švankmajer. He's a Czech pioneer who was very active in the '80s and inspired many people of my generation to start experimenting with stop-motion. His stuff is weird, creepy, and very surreal. He used a lot of everyday objects, which is one of the reasons why it was so accessible and made me feel like I could make something similar.
