“Remember, my process is to work from mid-tone (grey) to get the general shape, lift the highlight, and add the darks. Because of this method, I need to fix the mid-tone before applying the darks, plus charcoal powder can only create grey and can't go very dark in one go. So, we need to spray fix and add a second or third layer to gradually get the dark area darker. This is the theory behind it! ”

“Now I'm going to spray fix this layer And Once this layer has been spray fixed, I'm going to use the charcoal pencil to add a little bit more detail on our focal point. Then this drawing will be done. Remember to shake well. from the instruction it says between like about 30 centimeters. So it's going to be quite far from the paper. But. Tianyin has collaborated with clients including Oxford University Press, Bloomsbury Publishing, and STYLIST magazine. He has displayed his work in galleries across the UK and sold pieces to art collectors internationally. He also received a New Blood Award from D&AD in 2009 and the Larson Juhl Award from the Society of Wildlife Artists.
