Because we're working with organic materials such as the thread, It's really important to keep your piece out of water, as this can damage the thread and lead to the decomposition of it. Because we're working with metal, it's important to keep them out of moist and wet environments as well. Regardless if you have your piece in a moist or wet environment, your piece will start to tarnish just due to oxidation. One way to keep this from happening is to keep your piece in a plastic bag when you're not wearing it...”
