“We are almost finished with our gorilla. And here I'm merging the gorilla's fur with the girl's hair. I don't want you to be able to tell where one ends and the other begins. These subtle changes are giving that feeling before finalizing it on the tattoo. You try things out to try and figure out which things would look cool. Here you can do things you wouldn't want to risk in your actual tattoo. It takes more time, it does. It actually takes longer, but allows for more experimentation. Despite graduating in fashion design from the Santa Marcelina University of São Paulo in Brazil, in 2013, she left the profession to become a full-time tattoo artist. She has participated in three editions of the NY Empire State Tattoo Expo, one of the most renowned tattoo artist conventions in the United States. Outside the tattoo world, she has produced illustrations for various collaborations including the German cooking and surfing book Reisen Surfen Kochen in 2015, as well as projects for the BarBarian brewery and Marriott hotels, to name just a few.
