“In the last lesson, I talked a little bit about myself and my work. But in this lesson, what I'd like to talk about is my influences, and there are many. Now, I grew up overseas, so I was really lucky because I was exposed to work from all different cultures and a lot of different pop stuff, such as anime and manga, and that really had a strong influence. But the one constant that remained was the work of Hergé, who did the Tintin comics from Belgium and France. Now, these are absolutely still something I read every single year.
