About the final project for: Abstract Portrait Animation with Cinema 4D

Animation of abstract portraits in Cinema 4D

“Congratulations! You have now reached the end of this Domestika course. Thank you for the participation! I hope you had as much fun as I did and that you learned something new from this course. Now it's time to work on your project, which means either finishing it or presenting it on the forum right away. In any case, I would like to remind you that you shouldn't just copy my project, but rather think about your own concept. Take plenty of time for the conception phase. The more you think about it in advance, the easier it will be to make decisions later on. All steps of the project are summarized here: • Create your visual concept. • Model the portrait. • Create your customized textures. • Animate the portrait. • Add final details and effects in Adobe After Effects.

You can personalize each of the steps mentioned above and, if necessary, create several variants if you are not sure about one or more steps. Try to find inspiration not only from other 3D artists, but also listen to your own thoughts and feelings. What topic are you currently concerned with? What would you like to express? You can also get inspiration from stories, textures and other experiences. Last little challenge for you: create a nemesis to your head!
Once you're finished with your project and exported your animation's QuickTime file, you can upload it to the forum. To do this, simply click on “Create your project”. Remember to add photos of the different stages to show the entire process. You can also write a short explanation about this. I'm incredibly excited to get to know your project and your vision. Don't forget that you can always share your work with me and the other course participants in our forum. Together we can give each other feedback to push our projects to the next level. I'll check back as often as possible to answer your questions and give you advice. Have fun, see you! ”

“Now we have come to the end of our course and I just want to say that I am very grateful for your participation and I hope you had as much fun doing it as I did and that you were able to take something new with you from it. We started first and created a visual concept, we then modeled a 3D head based on a base mesh, which we then provide with small rigs to animate it later and then built a custom texture, with which we then provided the head. We then finalized the look and rendered out our animations. If you still have questions about the individual steps, then you can post them in the for...”
