“In this lesson, I'm going to start off the final project by doing a very, very quick sketch. If you're an absolute beginner, what you might want to do is spend a little bit more time drawing the scene out. But really for me, I just want to get a rough idea and just get acclimatized to looking at the image. So I just need a few guidelines to get me going. We're also going to begin the painting process by using my largest brush and block in a vague idea of what the colors are going to be. And that way there'll be a consistency for the entire painting.
