Idoia lives and works in a rural environment, surrounded by nature that not only inspires her, but also provides her with the means to create 100% sustainable pieces. She grows her own rattan to use in her projects, weaving pieces similar to the way storks weave their nests.

Idoia's work combines traditional techniques and organic materials with contemporary designs. Collaborating with professionals from diverse countries, cultures, and backgrounds has enriched her worldview and allowed her to appreciate modern art, design, architecture, fashion, and crafts from a new perspective, which she translates into her basketwork.
