The course is very interesting, especcially the procedure of building up a portret in values first and then followed by colors . I would recommend this course to anyone who wants te learn painting portrets.

Really liked the course. Learned a new way of painting and how to mix colors in different tonal values.

Really enjoyed it. Teaches you how to work in values rather than color thus reveals an interesting way to approach skin tones. Takes a lot of practice to get there but it’s worth it.

Bardzo podoba mi się ten kurs. Jest bardzo rzeczowy i umiejętności zdobywa się poprzez podpatrywanie nauczyciela. Nie skupia się na wprowadzeniu tajników malarstwa a jedynie podpowiada prostą drogę do osiągnięcia celu. Istotą takiego malarstwa jest wyszukiwanie wartości tonalnej a niekoniecznie właściwej barwy. Dlatego obrazy te są takie ciekawe i są bardzo ekspresyjne. Dla mnie kurs ten daje to co właśnie szukałem.

Very well done. She’s an excellent teacher. My only suggestion is maybe skip the preliminary lessons on the apple form painting and get into the actual portrait part in more depth.

Ein super schöner und bildender Kurs. Auch ohne Muttersprache Englisch sind alle Erklärungen gut verständlich und werden im Tun vermittelt. (Untertitel überflüssig) Jane French vermittelt Lust sofort mit eigenem Tun zu beginnen und inspiriert zur Weiterentwicklung. Habe sehr viel Spaß gehabt und schon mit einem Selbstporträt begonnen. Great course - easy to follow (if not easy to get the same results). A really good way to learn about colours and values in portraiture

I have been trying to teach myself to oil paint portraits for a while now, but have not seen this method in action before. I believe it will be a game-changer for me! Ms. French is a wonderful teacher.
