“In this lesson, I'll show you how to use different mediums to create expressive marks. As I've mentioned in Unit 2, I think that a good portrait painting has interesting brushstrokes and well-curated composition. Here are a few things you can do to make interesting stains on your expressive paintings. A few of the mediums I've used here are tape that I've put on the paper before painting, then I've painted on top on transparent color, I've removed the tape, and then I've drawn on top with a pencil.
