“In this lesson, we will fix any mistakes in the value relationships. We will also continue adjusting the forms. Usually, this is a good spot in the process to check if your painting looks chalky. Usually, this means that you might have too much white in your shadows. Check that your shadows have enough saturation when you compare back to the reference. For example, if you look here, you can see a brush stroke in which I have mixed a little bit too much of the white color to the shadow color.
