Because I didn't start off at a young age originally intending to be a filmmaker, a lot of the movies I watched were as a casual viewer. I watched a lot of big movies that most kids have seen like E.T., Indiana Jones and Star Wars. But really, one of the big movies that I obsessed over was the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
