María Luque was born in Rosario, Argentina, and has exhibited her work in museums and galleries in her native country since 2005, as well as in Chile, Peru, Mexico, and Spain. In addition to her work as an artist, she also works on projects in the field of editorial illustration and coordinates workshops and other creative activities, such as "Merienda dibujo," a series of meetings with artists that she started in 2011.
She is also the cofounder of the Festival Furioso de Dibujo and participated in the anthology Informe, historieta argentina del siglo XXI, published by Editorial Municipal de Rosario. She is the author of La mano del pintor, a graphic novel about Cándido López (Sigilo, 2016, L'Agrume Éditions 2017);Casa transparente (Sexto Piso, Graphic Novel Award - Ibero-American Cities); and Noticias de pintores (Sigilo, 2019).
