Upcycling for Beginners: Sustainable Fashion Design

I really enjoyed this course, everything was explained clearly and I liked working alongside the videos. It was my first Domestika course and I will definitely be doing more.

I thought it was a great course and covered a lot of the basics, which was helpful. Selena has a great attitude and an engaging presentation style. My only slight disappointment was that the top made in the course is not the one that is used in the promotional materials.

Selena teaches with great warmth. Starting a project like this by beginning with the exercise on learning our own personal style was really key. I’m still working on mine, but I’m looking forward to bringing my own taste into the garment.

I absolutely LOVED this course. I followed it over a rainy weekend. Created my moodboard and made a final garment. I'm so pleased with the result which I shall share. I thought that Selina was an inspiring teacher, all the instructions were very clear and the pattern printed out well. My only slight concern was that the pattern was fractionally smaller using the grading tool than it was meant to be. But it turned out fine. I've recommended the course already to several people. I'm still to finish the course as I'm gathering items for my final project. So far it's been good and learning about colour theory and also trusting your judgement and personal style.

I learned about Selina from a BJones Style youtube and have been following her on Instagram ever since. When I saw this course here instructed by her it was a no brainer for me to take. So far I've made two tops but have been collecting some gorgeous vintage linens so that I can make many more! Loved this course.

Amazing course! Selina is a very good instructor and makes the whole course engaging and easy to follow along and recreate our own unique blouses from vintage materials. Its actually beginner friendly and I love how she takes her time to thoroughly explain each and every step.
