About the final project for: Creative Portraiture Shot Digitally and on Film

Creative Portraiture Shot Digitally and on Film

“Congratulations! You have reached the end of this course. Thank you so much for taking part. I hope you have enjoyed it! Now it's time for you to work some photographic magic and carry out your project, either finishing the project you started by completing the course tasks or making a brand new one! Either way, I strongly suggest you take the time to gather inspiration and make a unique series of portraits of your own. Make sure to keep track of your progress with different pictures of each step. It would be great if you could also explain the choices you have made along the way and tell us if you have any doubts. This will help me guide you better if you need advice. For your own project to be successful, here are a few tips: • Remember that inspiration can strike in many places. What elements of your surroundings can influence you? Can you channel this into your mood board to visualize what your photoshoot might look like? Be original! • Organizing your ideas into a mood board will help massage out a plan for your photoshoot and give it direction, which you will then be able to communicate and share with your team. • Surround yourself with a good team! When finding people to collaborate with, ensure you get people on board who will add to the creative vision and help achieve the "look and feel" you are aiming for. • When it comes to materials and equipment, remember that you don't have to have bucketloads of money to make an interesting photo. Being resourceful with props and sets you can make easily often leads to more creative solutions. • Keep your lighting simple! Don't overcomplicate things and when in doubt, use one key light and a little bounce. • Know that all your hard pre-production and prep work is the foundation that allows you to then be spontaneous and "in the moment" when it comes to the shooting day. Being organized now means freedom to create later. • Not all photos need tons of editing. Carefully consider what minor adjustments or light color grading can add to your overall vision.

Show us your finished photo series in the forum! You can do so by clicking on "Create your project". I'm excited to see your work out there in the world. You can also share it on social media and tag us in the stories and posts you have shared. I will be more than happy to answer any of the questions you might have along the way! I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, participate in the forum, comment on others' work, and interact with the community. See you soon! ”

I'd love to give you a few tips to take away with you. Remember that inspiration can strike in many places. What is around in your world that can influence you? Can you channel this into your own mood board? Be original. When it comes to materials and tools, just remember that you don't need bucket loads of money to create an image.
