About the final project for: Plan your creative career
Hacks to manage your creative career
“Thank you so much for taking this journey of creativity and learning! I hope you found inspiration and knowledge to apply to your work. I created a list of essential steps that I would like to see in your project: 1. Think about the project you want to do. Is it aligned with your career goal? Will it be a personal project? Or will it be a project that you have already done for a client but want to turn into a portfolio piece? 2. Choose which portfolio platform this project will go to: does it fit better on Behance, ArtStation or a personal website? 3. Structure the boards you will need, first, in draft form. Make a list of what you need to produce so that the piece is complete and tells a story about your creative process, while also directing the area (animation, editorial, games, advertising, etc.) and the discipline (character design, background, design, UI, KV, layout, art direction, among others.) that you want to focus on. 4. With the list in hand, it's time to produce and/or assemble the work. Take your time: putting together a portfolio piece is a big and complex job, it's no easy task. But do it with care and show everything you can offer to a potential client. Post your piece on the platform you chose. 5. Now it's time to communicate: how will you release the news that you have a new portfolio piece on your social networks? Which ones? What tone will you use? Communicate in the way you think makes the most sense, on the social networks that are most aligned with your objective. Now just prospect clients and work on the next portfolio piece! Now, gather your key steps and comments and share your project by clicking the "Create your project" button. Your publication will be part of your portfolio here at Domestika and will be a space for you to showcase your work in the community. Come up with new ideas, create alternatives, enrich your creativity. Furthermore, I invite you to give feedback and comment on the work of the creative community. Take the opportunity to network! Whenever possible, I will also comment on work and follow what is happening on the forum. Good luck and success in your artistic career! ”
