“In the last lesson, we talked about tools and processes. In this lesson, we'll talk about translating words to an image. I want to begin by talking about a past project that I'd done for the New York Times about TikTok. This was the cover for the Arts and Leisure section. The brief was to create an illustration for TikTok stars that were branching off the app. When I receive a brief, I try to create different illustrations so that there's a different point of view going into the concept.
