About the final project for: 3D & Animation for Editorial Illustration

3D & Animation as Editorial Illustration in Adobe Stager

“Thank you so much for taking this course. I hope you had fun and learned a lot. I hope you were able to learn some new skills in Photoshop and feel comfortable using Adobe Substance Stager. Now it's your turn to develop a creative concept and point of view on a news story, from idea to execution, to create a 3D editorial illustration and an animated GIF. Let me show you an example of what I would like to see in your presentation: The Sketches Translate the brief into sketches. Make the sketches on photoshop/Ipad to help communicate the idea to the client. Make notes on the sketch if there is any animation or unique texture.

The Scene Compose and build the 3D scene on Substance Stager. Then, add colors, materials, and lighting to the scene after.
The Artwork Render the 3D scene as an outcome. Plan the animation based on that scene or from the sketching phase. Lastly, render frame by frame and stitch the frames together in Photoshop using the timeline tool.
Share your project on the forum by clicking the "Create your project" button. I will look at your publications as soon as possible and answer any doubts that need clarification. In the meantime, I encourage you to see what your fellow students have been up to and comment on their posts. See you soon!”

Don't forget to work in gray so you can focus on the form of the object first. Create a color wave for the scene but be open to adjusting it once you like the scene. Always remember to select a camera angle once you have locked in on a composition. Otherwise, it might be hard to come back to the e...”
