“Okay, so now that we've talked about our final sketches and we're done with those, in this lesson we're going to work on the preliminary setup for our project. So the first step with getting our paper ready for painting is actually to wet it and stretch it and I'll explain why stretching is so important. So watercolor paper interacts with water and it will buckle and warp after you paint and it dries. So we don't want to do that necessarily because we are going to be scanning our paper later after we're done with the painting. And in any case, we want to end up with a completely flat sheet ...”
