“In this lesson, we'll choose a direction for our illustrations and begin to visualize it with a thumbnail sketch. Generally, thumbnail sketches are little drawings that determine what you're going to be creating into a larger illustration. They don't have to have too many details, but they can show the general composition and elements that you'd like to include for your final. There's no limit to how many thumbnail sketches you can do, so feel free to have as much fun as you'd like, but generally, I like to do around three to four designs and then pick one to take to final.
