About the final project for: Painting on Wood: Decorate Kitchen Utensils

Painting on Wood: Decorate Kitchen Utensils

“We have reached the end of the course! Thank you very much for accompanying me. I hope that my lessons and advice will help you when painting your wooden bowls. Do not forget that each project is unique and that what we saw in this course is a base that you can use with your own style. I share the steps you must follow to carry out and share your project: Choice of type of wood I chose the bowl or piece of wood you want to work on. Remember that the woods that you should look for your piece are those classified as hardwoods that are provided by strong, slow-growing trees. These must meet certain requirements to be used in the kitchen or as food containers, among others, there is tolerance to humidity and resistance to daily use.

Conditioning of the part Wash your piece of wood, sand it and apply the bases to protect it. Don't forget to inspect the bowl for cracks or any surface defects or damage. Fill it with water and check that it does not have leaks in the walls or in the bottom. Remember that you can use a wood sealer to fix small leaks.
Start drawing and explore colors Select the drawing from the theme you have chosen and, from it, create the color palette. If you don't know where to start, don't forget that you can use the chromatic circle as a reference and inspiration.
Transfer drawing First, trace all the drawing you want to transfer. Then, take the tracing sheet and the pencil and mark several times the contours of the entire composition that you already have drawn and painted on the paper. When finished, flip the sheet over and glue the sheet onto the bowl. With a thick black pencil, go over the entire outline of the composition again.
Paint the layers Apply the color bases on the flowers and leaves from the colors you selected. Once the first layer is dry, you should give it depth by means of shadows and lights using the float technique.
Final finish Finally, apply the lacquer so that the paint does not come off and take a nice photo of it to share with the community and on social networks.
Now I shared your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your project and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you could show me an image of each phase and add a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. I also want to invite you to actively participate in the forum, both sharing your progress and asking questions or giving advice and trying to help the rest of the community. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress! I will try to spend as much time as possible on the forum, but please be patient because there will be times when I have professional commitments and it will take me a while to respond. See you in the forum! ”

“Final project We reached the end of the course. I told you about myself and how life has led me to this moment. We saw what we have to take into account when using a piece of wood that we want to paint and use at home. We saw flowers, we drew them and we also painted them. Then we transferred all this to the wooden bowl and gave it color. We protected the work to be able to use it and that the paint does not come off. Also, I told you my tips to take a beautiful photo and show it off on social media. It only remains for me to thank you for choosing my course. I hope it has served to push yo...”
