“The basic technique: the flat stitch In this unit, we are going to see the basic points of circular weaving. We'll start with the flat stitch. The flat point is the basic point of weaving, this famous one above, one below. For this exercise, I'm going to use a 20cm metal circle. With my ball of thick thread, I'm going to roll it up to hide the structure. I'm going to tie a double knot. To prevent this little knot from moving, I will use masking tape.
