Start by getting reacquainted with Julie Robert. She tells you about her grandmother's embroidery work, her decisive trip to Iceland, and how she managed to turn weaving into a trade.
Move on to your first contact with the course material before tackling the subject of color. Julie teaches you how to make a notebook to find inspiration, then create a sketch of your project using acrylics.
Once this preparatory work is completed, learn the basic methods of weaving, including flat stitch and the braiding technique. See how to add volume to your creations with thick rope and tufting wool. Julie even recommends podcasts to listen to while weaving!
Now it's time to work on the hanging element. After preparing the frame and warp yarn, start the weaving process. Add the final touches before installing the lamp's electrical components. Once it's finished, Julie shows you how to care for your lamp, as wool is a very delicate material.
As a bonus, Julie teaches you how to create other types of lamps and how to photograph your creations so they stand out on social media.
For the final project, create a voluminous woven lampshade.

This course is suitable for everyone. Whether you are a specialist or have never woven in your life, Julie has something to teach you!
You need a bare lampshade, a yarn needle, a colored electrical cable, a lamp socket, and a light bulb, but most importantly, different types of yarn, rope, cotton, or any other fiber that inspires you.
